The purpose of this thesis was to create an e-learning platform and an online store for buying courses. It was implemented in co-operation with Clean Building, i.e. the client of this work.

Clean Building was founded in 2016 in Oulu. The entrepreneur is the only employee in this company and the company has been in operation for over a year now. The company is providing consulting services for building and real estate purity control. The company is also expanding its operations to purity training and therefore needs a cost-effective way to educate the professionals to the workplace as easily and efficiently as possible.

Now that e-learning service have come to Clean Building’s range of services, the company must respond to this by developing their electronic services - this is why this e-learning platform was created. Company's website was also renewed, but this thesis focuses only on the e-training platform and its construction.

The theory part of this thesis report focuses to the benefits and challenges of online training both from the students and the course provider’s point of view. The mapping of the benefits and the challenges is important, because that way it is possible to think about how to make online courses and why it is more profitable than traditional physical courses.

E-learning platform and a simple online store was conducted as a result of this project, which lived up the company’s expectations and new services direction. The thesis describes exactly what all the features in the online learning platform are and how to use them. The company's new web pages and e-learning platform are modern, and thus it provides easy and cost-effective way to train a lot of new professionals to the working life.
