Yrityksen talouden analysointi

This thesis is intended to prepare a new exercise assignment for the course Company's Financial Statement Analysis and Planning. The commissioner for this thesis is Oulu University of Applied Sciences and the school is represented by Merja Luukkonen, Team Leader. This course is such that taking matters requires a lot of independent training. Therefore, it is important that there are plenty of exercises in the course. The research problem is to create a new exercise assignment. The research product is qualitative because it is based on the literature and the documentation of the financial statements. The basics of this thesis are, first of all, the content of the actual financial statements and, secondly, the correction and analysis of the financial statements. The theory is based on the literature of the source material and the guidance of the Yritystutkimuskeskus ry is the main source of the analysis. After the actual theoretical part, we will go through the exercise. The starting point for the exercise is the fictitious company, Urheilukauppa Nieminen Oy, used in earlier financial management courses. The material familiar to learning makes it easier to internalize things. Nieminen's financial statements have been supplemented by the remarks of the auditor, on the basis of which corrections are made. The study material for the exercise assignment consists of an example company booklet and a task assignment. Using this information, it is possible to draw up the adjusted profit and loss account and balance sheet as well as the key figures as well as the cash flow analysis. The assignment is available for students in autumn 2017. As a conclusion, I can say that the job was completed as planned and the assignment is expected. In this thesis, research questions were well answered. As a follow-up, there is still a response model for the exercise.
