This thesis deals with the implementation of an e-commerce site. The client company imports French natural cosmetics which the e-commerce business sells to consumers. There are two different natural cosmetics series. Earlier the cosmetic series have been sold from the client company’s business premises “Kauneudella” beauty salon. The client already had web pages, whose layout was used as a template for the e-commerce.

The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the general features of e-commerce. It describes the establishment of e-commerce as well as the versatile ways of e-commerce marketing. The functional section of the thesis was to create an e-commerce site by using the Finqu platform.

The aim of this thesis was to implement a functional e-commerce business by using the Finqu platform. The client required the site to be easily updated and reasonably priced. The implementation of the e-commerce is described in stages.
