Goal of this thesis was to create a tileset with vector graphics for a mobile game called State of Matter. There was no official client for this project and the idea came from my personal interest in the subject. Tileset was however done while I was studying in Oulu Game LAB, which also provided me access to Adobe Illustrator and Wacom drawing tablet that were used during this thesis.

Theory part is meant to tell the reader how a tileset was done for our mobile game and what problems we faced during production. This thesis will also give the reader information on how we solved problems with optimization and what mistakes a beginning 2D-graphical artist should avoid when designing graphics for mobile games.

This theses will serve mainly as a report for the project, but it will also provide a perspective from a beginning 2D-graphical artist to another and give the reader some background on the problems we faced.
