In this thesis, the design process of the reclaimer screw manufacturing jig is presented. The purpose of the manufacturing jig is to facilitate and standardize the manufacturing and inspection methods between different manufacturing units.

During the work, the Inventor 3D design software and its strength calculation possibilities were familiarized. In addition, knowledge of the structural analysis theory, dimensioning of machine parts and selection of purchase components were deepened.

The process started by modeling and dimensioning the shaft and the frame structure. The structural analysis of the shaft was completed using traditional strength calculation methods and Inventor’s FEM tools. The stresses revealed in the structural analyzes of the shaft were large, and therefore it is recommended continuing the optimization of the shaft. The structural analysis of the frame structure was performed only using Inventor. There were no high stresses, so no structural optimization is needed for the frame. In addition, the bearing components for the shaft assembly were selected.

As a result of the work, a 3D model of the manufacturing jig and manufacturing drawings were obtained. Results can be used in the production of the prototype and the development of the manufacturing jig. In addition, possible further plans and development proposals were revealed. The thesis taught its author a lot of things that will be utilized in working life.
