This thesis was commissioned by a company called Oulun Sisustajat Oy. The company has over thirty years of experience for retail and sales. The commissioner´s previous website was not working well and it was out of date in many ways. The website needed to be designed and the graphical content updated. The purpose was to create an easy to use website for customers and to uplift the company´s image in the eyes of a customer.

The theory of this thesis relies on user interface and the styles and ways it influences on the company´s website. The outcome of the website, usability and fresh look in appearance is important to the company.

The outcome of the thesis was a new website for the company. Both the commissioner and the author were very satisfied. There were no usability testing done for the website.
