The subject of this thesis was to demonstrate Samsung Knox solution to Oulu University of Applied Sciences, School of Business and Information Management. The target of the thesis was to test the solution in new student mobile devices. The subject was found in discussions with my tutor. As a main source of theoretical background was used the material created by Samsung.

Subject of thesis was actual because of espionage and data leaks incidents in recent years. Even though this work is not only about security, the security is built-in Samsung Knox. Thesis brings up the security side and manageability side of Samsung Knox

This thesis experiences the possibilities to prevent misusage and to automate maintenance tasks. Trial licenses were used, when the only aim was to create example configuration. In this work example policies, groups and centralized software management were managed to create. As a conclusion; Samsung Knox fits well for managing student used mobile devices. When there is MDM (Mobile Device Management) solution in use, maintenance is easier and manageability is increased.
