Consultative professional services for organizations in cybersecurity industry require tailored and customer-oriented approach in planning and implementation of the offered assignment. Such assignments are implemented as projects in the client company, and the target of this study was to develop a project management model with supporting documentary for the company´s cybersecurity services team, with aim to improve communication and co-working with customers during the project lifecycle.

This study was conducted as action research and by implementing most used Service Design methods. A project management model with supporting documentary was created as an outcome of the work, based on studied theories in project management and customer-oriented service development, combined with observations made from production and workshop-based team development practices.

The designed project management model proved to be successful in project assignments, helping project team members in focusing on the tasks assigned to them, improving customer communication in different phases of the project, and offering more effective ways for project manager to control and follow the progress of the project tasks. The model systemizes and improves the project management practices and can be adapted to client company´s venture for project management office (PMO) implementation.
