In this thesis, I am investigating the possibilities of using SharePoint both in projects and documentation. My goal is to create a general understanding of the structure, how to determine user licenses, how to instruct the different users (main etc.) and what are the challenges in these definitions. In this thesis, I will use the material I have been facing in my work and the information gathered in the different SharePoint trainings I have attended. I am aiming to find out the challenges which the user and the administrator in Oulun Tietotekniikka Liikelaitos will face in their daily work and to get the users to understand SharePoint in the level where they can resolve problems by themselves.
